Kashmiri youth should take interest in data science: Khalid Wani

Khalid said Kashmiri students are highly talented and they should study and make careers in data science which holds good future in the coming years.
Describing it as a powerful weapon in the world currently, he said that e-commerce business depends on data storage.
He said fast paced digital transformation is happening in both public and private domain which is creating ample job opportunities for youth.
Khalid, with over a decade of work experience in technology distribution and international sales, said the move towards a contactless economy is pushing digitalization across sectors and creating ample opportunities for the youth.
"We are witnessing an increase in data storage requirement due to a large amount of data being generated due to the adoption of emerging technologies . The ever-increasing flow of data has established the need for dynamic storage solutions that can help consumers and enterprises meet their next-generation storage needs."
He siad surveillance cameras are in huge demand for the security reasons which has further pushed the need of storages.
He urged the youth to shift focus to this sector which has lucrative returns and can help transform the J&K's economy which doesn't have much scope in industrial sector.
"Besides agriculture, horticulture, tourism, Handicraft which are the mainstays of the Kashmir's economy, the IT sector enabled date science can help local economy in a big way and also get youth multiple opportunities," he said.
