Srinagar, May 30: Scores of JKSSB aspirants on Monday held a protest demonstration at the press enclave in Srinagar demanding the release of selection list of class IV posts.
The class IV aspirants appeared in the press enclave and started raising slogans in support of their demand. They were also holding playing cards that read, "We want justice." We want selection to be released today; if not, our next step will be a hunger strike."
The protesting aspirants said the JKSSB advertised 8575 posts for Fastrack recruitment and that this was the first recruitment under the supervision of LG Sinha.
These posts were advertised under advertisement number 01 of 2020, dated 6/26/2020.
The aspirant said that they are waiting for their posts, but unfortunately, the department is delaying the same.
He said, "Everybody hoped that they would get jobs, but we are waiting till 2020 when they issue the posts." Until then, we are waiting for our selection. "
He further said if the JKSSB didn’t issue the list within days, then our next step would be a hunger strike.
Obaid from South Kashmir said that I was waiting and I couldn’t concentrate on anything because my name was not on the list and I was distressed.
Previously, they have protested in the past as well. They have urged the SSB chairman to release the list of remaining class 4th aspirants at 3400 within a week.
