JKSA thanks LG Sinha for cancelling JKSI recruitment

Srinagar, July 08: J&K Students Association (JKSA) Saturday thanked Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for taking serious cognizance and cancelling Jammu and Kashmir Sub- Inspector Recruitment.
In a statement, the spokesperson of the JKSA Nasir Khuehami welcomed the Lieutenant Governor's decision to recommend CBI Probe into the selection process.
He said, the association hopes that  Lieutenant Governor led administration will act tough on all officials involved in the Scam and ensure that its commitment of zero tolerance towards corruption, nepotism and favouritism in recruitment of public servants. The irregularities in the result of the JKSI recruitment, in which Over 97,000 candidates had appeared for the exam, had created a sense of despair and dejection among aspirants.
Khuehami said that their apprehensions of fraud in the recruitment was genuine and demand for cancellation of the recruitment was warranted. Thus, the decision comes as a sigh of relief for the aspirants who think there has been fraud in the recruitment. The next important step to be taken for the interest of aspirants is that Fresh recruitment of these posts should be done at the earliest, so that aspirants don't suffer fretful wait of news recruitment", he added.
 By scrapping the Police Sub Inspector list and ordering CBI probe in recruitment process, the Jammu and Kashmir Government has taken first major step towards restoring confidence of aspiring youth. The meritorious & deserving aspirants have always been the "collateral damage" in genuine actions of state against "blue eyed criminals" involved in sale & purchase of seats. We are hopeful that there will be free and fair investigation by CBI and strict punitive action to be taken against the culprits, Khuehami emphasized.
