JKRTC to add 66 more buses in coming months

Srinagar, June 6: In a major boost to JKRTC, the department is going to add 66 more buses in the month of August to provide better transport facilities across Kashmir, an official said on Monday.
Habibullah, RTC General Manager while speaking to Rising Kashmir said we are going to add buses that will cover many areas where facilities are not available as of now.
"With the help of these buses we will make our services more productive,” he said.
Latief Ahmed a resident of Kaniporasaid that JKRTC adding more buses to its fleet is a welcome step and this move will ease public movement on roads.
“Presently we have 25 general buses,20 e-buses and5 ladies special running in the city,” Habibullah said.
The routes where these buses willplyare;Soura, Hazratbal, Harwan, Pampore, Qamarwari, Narbal,chadoora, Newakhandah Budgam, Saibugh, Pantha Chowk, Chatterhama, railway Station Nowgam, University, Khrew, Wuyan, Gulab Bagh, Ganderbal.
He added that more these buses will cover the untreaded routes and willply on both rural and urban areas.
“Inpast too, the Corporation was a major service provider in J&K however due to some reasons its services got affected. Now our we are again on the path provides better services to the people.
