J&K Roller Skating & Roll Ball championship concludes in Jammu

 Srinagar, Nov 03:  The three days J&K Roller Skating and Roll Ball Championships concluded on Tuesday here at Peer Kho Roller Skating Rink and M. A. Stadium Rinks at Jammu.
 The Roller Skating event Started on October 27 to October 31 whereas the J & K Roll Ball Championship for both boys and girls in various categories started from October 31 and concluded on November 2. 
 A team of 35 skaters including boys and girls from Kashmir division led by M. Ashraf Dijoo Secretary and coach, Roller Skating and Roll Ball Association J&K (K) participated for the first time in Speed Skating in various events on Speed track.
 Ajeet Singh Divisional Sports officer Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion whereas Umer Mustafa Shah President Roll Ball Association J&K was the Guest of Honour.
 The event witnessed thrilling matches among boys and girls from Jammu from Kashmir.
 Talking to Rising Kashmir Dijoo said that it was a really new experience for our Skaters. 
“Qurat ul Ain  won Bronze Medal in U/10 Category, while Mohammad Diayan bagged Silver Medal  and Amaan  got Bronze Medal in the event, he said and added that the rest of the Skaters did well and got 4th and 5th positions respectively. It was a new experience for our Skaters on Speed track,” he said.
 Roll Ball players from Kashmir bagged the silver medal in U/14 girls category with a score of 9:4 goals against the Jammu team. Whereas in U/10 boys category in the final match Jammu bagged gold and Kashmir won silver and Kauthwa won bronze medal. 
 In the under 17 age Category final match Jammu led by 11:04 goals, thus took the gold and team Kashmir won the silver medal. 
 In U/19 Category (boys) Jammu led by 13:3 goals and won gold medal while as team Kashmir bagged Silver Medal. 
 The medal ceremony was held on November 02 in which Madan Khajuria Veteran Coach was the Chief Guest.
 The other dignitaries present on the occasion were Madu Sharma General Secretary, Ashraf Dijoo Joint Secretary/Coach (K), and other officials of the Association. Dijoo was also felicitated with the Award of honour. 
 The Championship was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Roller Skating Association headed by Mr. Khurmi under the Aegis of J&K Sports Council in Collaboration with Roll Ball Association of UT J&K.
