JK reports one new black fungus case, 114 test positive

Srinagar, Aug 11: The Government on Wednesday informed that one new confirmed case of Mucormycosis (black fungus) has been reported Wednesday, while 114 more have tested positive for Covid-19 infection.
According to the government bulletin, Wednesday reported 34 Covid cases from Jammu division and 80 from Kashmir division, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 322885.
Also one Covid related death has been reported from Jammu Division.
Moreover, 114 more Covid-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 41 from Jammu Division and 73 from Kashmir Division.
Besides, 99.62 percent of the population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across the Jammu and Kashmir.
The bulletin informed that one new confirmed case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the taking the total number of confirmed cases to 38 in the UT of J&K.
The media bulletin said, out of 322885 positive cases, 1297 are active positive, 317195 have recovered and 4393 have died; 2154 in Jammu division and 2239 in Kashmir division.
The bulletin further said out of 12364041 test results available, 12041156 samples have been tested as negative till today.
“Till date 3001629 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 9051 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1297 in isolation and 376014 in home surveillance.
“Besides, 2610874 persons have completed their surveillance period,” it added
