IRCS J&K observes World Blood Donor Day across UT

Organizes blood donation & awareness programme in Srinagar’s DC office

Srinagar, June 15: Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu & Kashmir organized Blood Donation and awareness camps across Jammu and Kashmir on the eve of ‘World Blood Donor Day-2022’ themed ‘“Donating blood is an act of solidarity. Join the effort and save lives”.
A top official from the Indian Red Cross society confirmed that the blood donation camps were across J&K in which donors donated the blood.
The official also confirmed that a blood donation and awareness camp was also organized at Srinagar’s DC office.
Donated blood can help treat and support people suffering from chronic health diseases and complications. The importance and urgency to donate blood has more significantly increased since the Covid-19 pandemic. As the lack of donated blood becomes more worrying, it is important to understand how one can help.
 
The Directorate of Health Services Kashmir also observed World Blood Donor Day across Kashmir hospitals and special blood donations were also organized at many places.
