Heart attack Risk factors and prevention

Heart attack is a leading cause of death in world .Each year an estimated 17.9 million lives are lost because of cardiovascular disease.

Heart attack is a leading cause of death in world .Each year an estimated 17.9 million lives are lost because of cardiovascular disease.
Risk Factor:- As per the INTER HEART STUDY by Dr Saleem Yousuf, Nine easily measured risk factors were identified (These were found to be present in 90% of Heart Attack Patients):-Dsylipedemia,Hypertension,Diabetes,Obesity,Diet,Physical inactivity, alcohol consumption, smoking and psychosocial factors/stress.
Prevention:- As per American heart association heart attack can be prevented by simple life style changes 
Eat a heathy diet :Vegetables ,fruits, whole grains ,lean animal proteins and fish. One should avoid processed meats ,sweetened drinks, saturated & trans fats and limit carbohydrates ,salt and sugar.
Physical Activity:-An adult should get at least 150mins of moderate intensity aerobic activity per week or 75mins of vigorous activity per week
Stay at Heathy weight :-Loose weight if you are over weight or obese, keep tracking your Body Mass Index (BMI)
Stop Drinking and Smoking.
Manage and keep track of your Blood Pressure, Blood sugar and Lipid profile
