Govt transfers 73 doctors in health department

Srinagar, Aug 11: In the interest of administration and patient care, the Government on Thursday issued transfer and adjustment orders of 73 doctors in the Health and Medical Education Department.
According to the order issued by Vivek Bharadwaj, Chief Secretary, Health &Medical Education Department these doctors were awaiting orders from Directorates of Health Services Kashmir and Jammu.
" In the interest of administration and patient care, the following doctors, who are awaiting orders of adjustment at Directorates of Health Services, Kashmir/Jammu are hereby posted at the places, indicated against each, with immediate effect," reads the order.
According to the order, all the concerned doctors shall join their place of posting forthwith and in case of noncompliance of the government order, by any of the doctors, disciplinary proceedings shall be initiated against him/her without any further notice.
On Wednesday, in order to ensure proper Resource utilization of the Health and Medical Education Department, the government called for a manpower and equipment audit in the departments and furnished the report within 30 days.
"Accordingly, all the HoDs of Health and Medical Education Department are requested to Complete the Manpower and Equipment audit of their respective Directorates/ Institutions taking the previous manpower audit of the department conducted during 2018 as reference and furnish the report within 30 days positively. The HoDs may constitute a committee at their own level: comprising the suitable officers for smooth conduct and timely completion of the deliverable," reads the order.
