Govt establishes RSAs in Districts, ULBs under ‘Safaimitra Suraksha Challege’

Srinagar, June 30: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir Thursday established Responsible Sanitation Authorities (RSA) in all Districts and ULBs in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The Deputy Commissioner(s) shall be overall in-charge of Sanitation Response Units (SRUs), to be established by the concerned Municipal Councils/Committees in their respective district(s).
As per the Government Order No. 781-JK(GAD) of 2022 dated 30.06.200, “It is hereby ordered that the concerned Deputy Commissioner shall be the Responsible Sanitation Authority (RSA) of the District/Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) within the district, for participating in the “Safaimitra Suraksha Challenge” launched by the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Government of India”.
The Deputy Commissioner(s) shall be overall in-charge of Sanitation Response Units (SRUs), to be established by the concerned Municipal Councils/Committees in their respective district(s), the order reads.
