Former legislator, DDC chairman, representatives of CCI, Traders federation call on LG Sinha

Jammu, June 28: Various delegations and individuals including DDC chairman Doda, former legislator and senior BJP leader, Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCI) and Traders Federation Tuesday called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha here at Raj Bhawan.
The official spokesperson said that former legislator and BJP leader, Devender Singh Rana met the Lt Governor and raised various issues including regularization of daily wagers, payments of MGNREGA, comprehensive employment policy etc.
The spokesperson further said that a delegation, led by chairman DDC Doda, Dhananter Singh Kotwal, apprised the Lt Governor about various issues related to road connectivity, development of tourism spots, funds for infrastructure, expediting of construction work of Medical College Doda, acceleration of JalJeevan Mission, shortage of teaching staff in government schools.
Meanwhile, a delegation led by Arun Gupta, president CCI also called on Lt Governor and lauded the efforts made by the Lt Governor-led UT administration to bring J&K on the industrial map of the country and also bringing investment for the betterment of UT.
The delegation also submitted a representation to the Lt Governor containing issues and demands for the upliftment of Industries including expansion of Central Package 2021 to existing industries, simplification of registration or renewal of license process of Hotel, Lodges and Guest Houses, VAT and Power Amnesty Scheme, development of Transport Nagar etc.
Similarly, a delegation of Traders Federation led by its president Deepak Gupta apprised the Lt Governor about issues being faced by the trader community.
While interacting with the members of the delegation, the Lt Governor gave a patient hearing to their issues and demands. He assured them of appropriate redressal of the genuine demands put forth by the visiting delegations.
Later, Former Ranji Player and Member Indian Cricketers Association Rajesh Gill also met the Lt Governor. Gill has been selected for Indian Veteran Cricket Team for Marlborough Cup, to be played in England from 3rd July to 12th July.
The Lt Governor congratulated him for his selection in the team and extended his best wishes for giving best performance in the International cricket cup.
