Farewell function held for outgoing Postgraduate doctors of GDC, Srinagar

Srinagar, June 13: A grand farewell function was held for outgoing postgraduate students (MDS) of Govt. Dental College and Hospital, Srinagar on Monday in the institution auditorium. 
More than 300 participants attended the said one day event which included HODs, faculty members, Para dental staff members, UG/PG students and House Surgeons of the said institution. Various activities which included Kashmiri skit, traditional Kashmiri Rouf & faculty quiz etc. were held during the said daylong event. 
Prof. (Dr.) Riyaz Farooq, Principal/Dean of the institution stressed the importance of holding such extra-curricular activities at least once in a year as such events help in avoiding development of stresses in the busy and hectic lives of medical professionals. 
Prof. (Dr.) Shabir Ahmad Shah, HOD Dental Material and Medical Superintendent of the institution gave a welcome address on the said occasion and conveyed that such events help in exploring the hidden extra-curricular talent among the medical professionals and thus help in rejuvenating and refreshing them. The event was conducted by the Social and Cultural Committee of the institution headed by the Dr. Qazi Shazana Nazir, Associate Prof. of the institution who was the convener of the said event. 
Dr. Aijaz Masoodi, Assistant Prof. and Dr Nameeta Kour, Lecturer of the said institution were other members of the said committee and all the committee members had put in lot of efforts and hard work in making the said event a grand success and leaving lot of memorable moments among all the participants to cherish. The daylong event concluded by distribution of mementos and certificates to all the outgoing PGs by the Principal/Dean of the institution.
