Last year, 12-year-old visually-challenged Zainab had expressed a wish to meet her favourite Bollywood actor, Aamir Khan and a year after she not only met the star but interviewed too for a community radio station.
Zainab, who is in 6th standard at Delhi Public School (DPS) Srinagar, said that her dream of meeting Khan finally turned into reality after a year.
“On August 5, Khan was in the DPS campus for a shooting of his upcoming movie ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ and during that time, he gave me his precious 12 minutes for an interview for our community radio,” Zainab said.
She said, “I really enjoyed the interview but simultaneously, I was very nervous as it was my first interaction with my favorite actor.”
Hailing from Natipora area of Srinagar, Zainab said during the interview, she asked him about his shootings in Kashmir and about childhood interests.
Zainab also said that Khan in the interview has informed her that he was very bad at painting. “I also asked him about the work Khan has been doing for the visually impaired persons.”
Khan had arrived here to shoot for his upcoming film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. After spending nearly a month, he reached back in Mumbai on Tuesday.
Khan in his speech in Mumbai praised the locals for their hospitality saying people of Kashmir are as good as its beauty.
On July-30, Khan visited historical Amar Singh College Srinagar along with his team who had gone for a shooting in Ladakh for the movie.
