District Roll Ball-cum-Roller Skating championship concludes in Srinagar

Srinagar, Oct 18: The District Roll Ball and Roller Skating Championship concluded on Sunday here at Skating Rink, Radpora Downtown.
 The event started on October 16 and concluded on October 17.
 Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Qazi Sarwar was the Chief Guest on the Occasion.
 On the occasion Sarwar distributed prizes among the winners and runner-ups.
 Speaking on the occasion Sarwar said that it was not an easy job to handle such a championship owing to inclement weather conditions but Dijoo proved his ability and hectic efforts for the success of the championship.
 He also praised participants for their skill in the field and hoped that further skaters will try to get success in the future championships.
 In under-10 age category Noman, Mohammad Izaz Shala took the first, second and third positions in speed skating 300 meters race.
 In U-10 girls, Areeba Masoodi, Hooriya Showkat and Mysha Shala took gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
 In the U-14 category Dabeer Wani, Mohammad Baseer and Muneeb-Ur-Rehman took first, second and third positions in the 500 meters category.
 In the U-14 girls Urwa tul Wusuqa, Qurat ul Ain and Nehal took the first three positions.
In U-17 girls Wafa Tariq and Shifa Tariq bagged gold and silver medals in 500 meters Speed Skating Race.
 In the U-17 boys, Mohammad Sauleh, Atif Lone and Mujtabah won gold, silver and bronze medals. 
 In the U/19 category Syed Ather, Sheikh Salman and Basharat Ahad bagged gold, silver and bronze medals in 1000 meters in the Speed Skating event.
 In Mini Boys group Hadi Mohammad Zain and Zaeem took the first, second and third positions in 100 meters race whileas in Mini girls group Khadija javaid, Hareem Abdullah and Daneen Shoaib took first three positions.
 The event was organized by Roll Ball Association of Jammu and Kashmir and Jammu and Kashmir Roller Skating Association (Kashmir wing) under the aegis of J&K Sports Council.
