DIC Shopian continues Covid-19 awareness prog

Shopian, Aug 11: The District Information Centre (DIC) Shopian under the supervision of District Information Officer Showkat Ahmad Khan Wednesday continued awareness campaign on the importance of adopting Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) at Gole, Main market, Batapora and other adjoining areas.
During the awareness programme, DIC Shopian strictly appealed to the public through loudspeaker fitted on the special vehicle to follow Covid-19 appropriate behaviour to protect themselves from the viral infection.
The people were urged to wear masks while coming out of their homes, maintain physical distance and avoid visiting crowded places.
“Those who develop even mild symptoms should undergo Covid-19 test as the district administration has put in place arrangements to conduct required tests to ensure early intervention.”
The announcements also appealed to the public to get themselves vaccinated against Covid19. It was said that vaccination is the panacea and an ultimate solution to remain safe from the infection.
