DG Horticulture chairs meeting of officials at directorate office in Rajbagh

Srinagar, July 12: Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (KAS), Director General Horticulture, Kashmir today chaired a meeting at the Directorate of Horticulture Rajbagh Srinagar. Among others, HODs of Line Departments and representatives of Banks attended the meeting.
In order to bring all the fruit crops under the ambit of crop insurance schemes, the Scale of Finance was revised/reduced. As such a meeting was convened by Director General Horticulture Kashmir with allied Departments and Banks to recommend the measures to the Administrative Department which could address the impact of the reduction in the Scale of Finance (SoF).
During the meeting, all the Departments and banks put forth their suggestions regarding mitigation of the impact of the reduction in Scale of Finance.
In the end, Director-General Horticulture Kashmir thanked all the stakeholders and urged both the line Departments and financial Institutions to work in cohesion for the welfare of the farmers and to make the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) success in the U.T. of J&K. KNS
