CUK holds placement drive, fitness camp

Srinagar, June 29: Department of Tourism Studies (DTS), Central University of Kashmir (CUK) organized a campus placement drive for the MTTM students with the recruiting agency “Extra Marks Education” at Green Campus, in Ganderbal.
According to a CUK spokesman, in his address, Deptt Coordinator, Dr. Faizan Ashraf Mir, highlighted the importance of organizing campus placement drives in universities, especially for the professional academic programmes. He asked the current batch students and those who have already graduated to actively participate in the drive and assured that more such campus placement drives shall be conducted in future.
Sr. Asst Prof. Dr. Ramjit, highlighted the importance of professional manpower in the tourism industry which is services based. He assured the recruiters that after completing today’s recruitment drive, they definitely shall be getting professional manpower from the DTS.
During the event, Amir Qureshi and Imran Mukhdoomi from “Extra Marks Education” gave a presentation regarding the overall business operations of the organization.
Meanwhile, CUK’s Health Centre in association with Relief Physiotherapy & Disability Clinic of Dr. Ishaq Abdullah and Ar Rayan Physiotherapy & fitness centre of Dr. Saima, organised a physiotherapy and fitness camp for the students, faculty members and administrative staff of the varsity, at Green Campus here on Wednesday.
The physiotherapists did complete evaluation of several persons, followed by appropriate treatment including exercise protocols and other modalities. Medical Officers, Dr Abid & Dr. Sheeba said the aim was to create awareness about Physiotherapy in preventing and curing multiple ailments.
