Srinagar, July 26: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Tuesday held satyagraha protest in Srinagar in which the PCC Office bearers, former legislators, DCC presidents and prominent party workers participated.
According to a statement, the JKPCC criticized ED's summon to Sonia Gandhi and sought an end to vendetta politics unleashed by the BJP against the opposition, especially Congress Party aiming to divert attention of the people from its utter failures on all fronts.
J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Ghulam Ahmad Mir led the Satyagraha Protest against the “anti-people” and “wrong policies on the part of the BJP government at the Centre, terming BJP a mother of crisis in the country especially rising unemployment, inflation, economic crisis and various other issues concerning people.
Mir said that the ED summons to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi is a tool to malign the image of the grand old National Party whilst there is no FIR against Gandhi’s in National Herald Case, the reality is that Modi government diversionary tactics and misleading politics won’t deter Congress Party from fighting for the rights of people despite coercion and misuse of agencies against the party leadership.
Mir said Congress won’t be cowed down by pressure and vendetta politics, rather it will further strengthen its resolve to fight against the BJPs misleading policies, which is responsible for pushing people to darkness across the country.
We have fought and we will continue to fight for the rights of people and make the BJP government accountable and answerable to people for the damages caused to the country's economy and other sectors of public importance, Mir added.
JKPCC President also termed the alleged “policy of coercion and misuse of agencies by the Government as intolerable and unacceptable.”
