Low-dose aspirin has been used during pregnancy most commonly to prevent or delay the onset of Pre-eclampsia.
Indications for low-dose aspirin are prevention of Stillbirth, Fetal Growth Restriction, Preterm birth & early pregnancy loss as it increases foetoplacental blood flow.
High doses or adult Aspirin causes increase risk of pre-mature closure of vessels in the heart of Foetus.
Stop Aspirin One Week before induction of labour/Caserean Section to prevent PPH in mother & as it acts as antiplatelet.
