Srinagar, Aug 01: Noted author and Columnist Manzoor Akash has published his third book titled, ‘The legacy of Light’ and he has dedicated this book for the teachers of the nation.
The author, Manzoor Akash is hailing from Shangergund Dandoosa, Rafiabad and is a regular contributor to many news outlets including Rising Kashmir in the valley.
He is working in the Directorate of Education and is a teacher at Dangiwach Zone of Rafiabad in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
He says his book has focused on the struggle of teachers and challenges and is mustread for all the teachers serving the department.
Akash told Rising Kashmir that it was released last month and is available at Evincepub store, amazon, flipkart and Snapdeal, etc.
In the book, the author has imprisoned the awe-inspiring reminiscences of his teachers which he considers the legacy left behind by his teachers.
“ I want to pass on the legacy of those teachers to the teachers presently serving the department of Education in J&K,” he said.
Akash said teaching honesty is a sacred work. It is the best legacy one can leave behind. I consider the teaching pedagogy of my teachers, the biggest legacy of my life, he said.
He believes no other legacy is as rich as teaching with honesty and dedication.
The author has bagged the radio awards of Ministry of Science and Technology, and Ministry of Environmental Science, Govt. of India and Corporate Communication Deptt. Kashmir Division (twice).
Earlier Akash has published his two books, one an anthology of poems, "Verses of Heart" and another, "Handy Volume". Both the books were quintessentially of great use for the readers, he said adding that he got very good response from the readers.
Besides authoring books, he is English language trainer in the district and motivator cum trainer of Shaikshik Agaaz team, India
