Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh expresses gratitude to Tribal Affairs department, JK for enhancing the scholarship upto 125%

Srinagar, Aug 03: The Tribal Affairs Department, Jammu & Kashmir has notified enhancement of scholarship upto 125% for tribal students pursuing higher studies, recently.
Dr.AnshuKataria while thanking Dr. Shahid Iqbal Chowdhury, IAS, Secretary; Dr. Haroun Malik, KAS, Special Secretary; Mr Musheer Ahmed, KAS, Director &Dr. Abdul  Khabir, KAS, Deputy Director, Tribal Affairs Department, Jammu and Kashmir for their efforts in enhancing the scholarship upto 100-125% for tribal students of JK & adding around 350 new courses in wake of new emerging fields.
Kataria added that After this significant move of the Tribal Affairs Department which aims to boost support to the education of tribal students will enhance the enrolment of students in higher technical courses not only in North India but across the Country. Also, now the students who want to make their career in courses including Law, Pharma, Nursing, Paramedical, Artificial Intelligence etc. will also be able to get their admission done in various renowned educational institutions.This is a major boost to ensure quality education for tribal students, he stressed.
It is to be mentioned that the scholarship has been enhanced as Group A courses from existing Rs 30,000/annum since 2011-12 to Rs 72,000/annum including Rs 12,000 allowances. The scholarship for Group B courses stagnated at Rs 20,000/annum since 2011-12 has now been enhanced to Rs 53,200/annum including Rs 82,00 as allowances. In Group C courses the scholarship has been enhanced from Rs 18,000 to Rs 41,700 and in Group D courses it has been enhanced from Rs 12,000 to Rs 28,700 including allowances.
