Jammu, May 23: Apni Party (AP) provincial president Jammu, Manjit Singh Monday welcomed the clarification of the J&K government that they are not going to terminate services of Rehbar-e-Janglat, Rehbar-e-Zirat and Rehbar-e-Khel.
According to a statement from the party spokesperson, while chairing a meeting of party leaders in Jammu, Manjit Singh said that the decision of the government came after outrage from the people.
“It was after the strongly worded statement of Apni Party President Syed Mohammed AltafBukhari that the government was compelled to take back the decision and issue a clarification on the matter which was concerned with hundreds of families in both Jammu and Kashmir regions,” he said.
He said that the arbitrary decision taken by the government to re-advertise posts of Rehbar-e-Janglat, Rehbar-e-Zirat and Rehbar-e-Khel has put a question mark on the service of these above said workers.
Although these were engaged on a temporary basis, he said that they have served the departments concerned in difficult times and hence, they should be regularized.
He said that the NHM employees, NYC, all the daily wagers, Rehbar-e-Janglat, Rehbar-e-Zirat and Rehbar-e-Khel have been disheartened with the way the Govt has handled their issues which were immature and needs reconsideration.
He said that the government must come up with a policy for their regularization in the concerned departments.
“The departments wherever they are serving should observe them as they have availed their services for decades yet they are neither being regularized nor their wages being enhanced,” he said.
