AP leader urges macadamization of roads across Srinagar

Srinagar, June 30: Apni Party (AP) District President Srinagar Noor Mohammad Sheikh Thursday expressed deep anguish over the dilapidated condition of the roads across Srinagar due to administrative apathy.
Sheikh urgent Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to intervene into the matter and eradicate the long pending road construction projects in Srinagar district. Besides this he also demanded maintenance and repairing of lanes and link roads both in Shehr-i-Khas as well as in the outskirts.
In a statement, Sheikh said, "People are helplessly enduring immense problems caused by the deplorable condition of roads in and across the Srinagar district. There are critical patients who are shifted to different hospitals in hasten and the rugged condition of roads add on to their ailments. The repair works need to be initiated urgently in order to avoid further inconvenience faced by the daily commuters,” he said.
He urged the LG administration and R&B department to respond to the genuine demands of the people and initiate repair work of the roads, instantly.
He also sought out measures for timely action so that the public sufferings are alleviated on a prompt basis.
