AP holds series of public meetings in Udhampur, discuss public issues

Dozens of people join party, extend unconditional support

Udhampur, May 23: Apni Party (AP) Monday expressed serious concern over under-development, poor road connectivity, health and education related issues in Udhampur district and its remote villages.
A meeting was organized under the chairmanship of inchargeUdhampur, Ex-MLA FaqirNath who is also provincial vice-president Jammu, a party statement said.
This meeting was attended by District Committee including district president Hans Raj Dogra, district vice-president, Jagdev Singh, district vice-president KewalKrishan, district coordinator, Bhupinder Singh, general secretary, SatpalChalotra, vice-president Dharampal, vice-president Haji Noor Mohammed, district secretary Farooq Ahmed, district secretary Abdul Rasjid and youth president Ajeet Kumar. 
Meanwhile, to discuss various issues being faced by the people, Apni Party’s Udhampur Committee District President, Hans Raj Dogra organized a series of public meetings during visit to Ghordi Block.
The meetings were also attended by district vice-president UdhampurJagdev Singh, block president Tikri, Rajinder Singh Kaka, Secretary PancheriSher Singh and office secretary, Shamsher Singh of District Udhampur visited several areas of Block Ghordi in which many people joined the Apni Party.
The meetings were scheduled to mobilize the general public towards the party’s policy, agenda so that they join Apni Party to fight against the discrimination attitude of the administration towards the general masses, the statement said. 
In a meeting at DandhaliaDabadBletar, the people of the area gave a warm reception to the team of Apni Party and extended their support to the district body members of the Party and thus, they joined the Party, added the statement.
Those who joined the party included NaibSarpanch, Sandoor Singh, Shamsher Singh, Ashok Singh, Hari Chand, Subash, Parkash, Shankar Singh, Sukhdev, Ashok Singh Shoku, Kikar Singh and several others.
Meanwhile, Jagdev Singh, district vice-president welcomed the new joining in the district party fold. 
In this meeting, several issues were raised by the local people like poor supply of water, electricity, medicine etc and road connectivity.
“The condition of the road from Salmey Bridge to Ghordi is in very bad shape with big holes in the middle of the road. There was strong resentment against the local administration and concerned departments and executing agencies,” said Hans Raj Dogra.
A deputation of local people of the area met with Hans Raj Dogra and other members of the team of Apni Party. A deputation also met the Apni Party leaders and demanded the opening of a new PHC at village Bletar with new buildings and a community hall for the welfare of people.
The Apni Party District President Hans Raj Dogra assured the full support to the deputation to raise their voice before the concerned department to immediately solve their problem.
