AAP concerned over ‘high-handedness’ with daily wagers in Jammu
Jammu, Aug 03: Accusing BhartiyaJanata Party (BJP) of cornering poor daily wagers of different departments and killing their voice using sticks of police, AAP Tuesday expressed serious concern over alleged high-handedness with the protesting daily wagers in Jammu terming it a “clear sign of dictatorship.”
The party further promised that all the daily wages in Jammu and Kashmir will be regularised on the pattern of Punjab if the AamAadmi Party is voted to power.
A statement from the party said in order to step-in for support of poor daily wagers on protest in Jammu, besides other employees of different departments, a delegation of AAP visited the dharna site of Jal Shakti Department daily wagers in Jammu and assured the protesters on strike that party stands with them in this tough time and will make all possible efforts to help them.
AAP later held a press conference in which DDC member and party's senior leader TS Tony told media persons that a clear picture of dictatorship is going on these days on the roads of Jammu where Government is using police to corner poor daily wagers and killing their genuine voice.
"BJP earlier showed them castles in air and it's leaders were seen making big statements in media in favour of daily wagers and now BJP leaders are missing from scene and poor daily wagers are cornered and are getting sticks of police and are thrashed, manhandled, choked on the dictation of BJP Government which is now hell bent to crush the voice of their poor workers," Tony said.
