Jammu, Aug 19: Hitting hard at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as well as Lieutenant Governor administration for allegedly “befooling” daily wagers and leaving them on the mercy of God, Aam Aadmi Party Friday asked the Government to regularise the services of all the daily wagers in one go through a single order which should be based on 'One Time Regularisation' criteria.
In a statement, the AAP further promised to regularise all the daily wagers of Jammu and Kashmir in the first cabinet meeting of the party Government if voted to power and stated that the party has proven this slogan and fulfilled the promise in Punjab.
Over the issue of the plight of daily wagers, AAP leaders held a press conference in Jammu in which DDC member and senior party leader TS Tony interacted with the media persons.
"Daily wagers of all the Government departments in Jammu and Kashmir are living their life on the mercy of God and have been pushed into a state of helplessness by the Government." Tony said, adding that this is the same government which promised for redressal of all the grievances of daily wagers in Jammu and Kashmir and a process for fast-track regularisation was also started which however fell flat like every other promise of BJP and LG administration.
"In this high inflation period, even a regular employee getting a handsome salary is not able to bear the expenses of his household; what to talk about the life of a daily wager who receives very little salary which is also paid after a big gap which sometimes swells to one year," Tony said.
He further accused the Government of “ignoring” all the burning and genuine issues and demands of daily wagers and they are being befooled to such an extent that after months long agitation, BJP leaders are still promising the agitated daily wagers that their demands will be taken up with Delhi and this nothing else than another lie of ruling command.
“We demand LG administration to prove its words and to issue a 'One Time Regularisation' order for all the daily wagers removing all age, quantification and bill documents bars which will end a prolonged human rights violation of daily wagers.
AAP leader TS Tony also said that LG administration should issue a single order for regularisation of all the daily wagers in Jammu and Kashmir.
“We have proven this in Punjab and we promise it in Jammu and Kashmir also that all the daily wagers across the UT will be regularised through a single order that too in the first cabinet meeting if the Aam Aadmi Party is voted to power," Tony added.
