Jammu, July 25: AamAadmi Party (AAP) accused BharatiyaJanata Party (BJP) of putting Jammu and Kashmir in a situation of uncertainty with failure on all fronts of governance and administration.
Accompanied by other senior party leaders, AAP Jammu and Kashmir Incharge and MLA from Rajendra Nagar Delhi, Durgesh Pathak Monday addressed a press conference in Jammu during party office inauguration.
According to a statement released for the press, Pathak said that Jammu and Kashmir is passing through a stage of uncertainty and this all has been done by BJP which he accused of failing on all fronts of governance and administration.
“You go anywhere in Jammu and Kashmir and see people in protest with their demands remaining unsolved in the administrative setup. There are protests by daily wagers, by selected candidates of FAA recruitment, by people demanding better roads and other basic amenities and these protests are going on in almost every area of Jammu and Kashmir which shows a grim situation in terms of administration and governance and BJP is responsible for it,” he said.
Pathak said that the sorry state of affairs in the education sector of Jammu and Kashmir is the best example that shows failure of BJP and administration and there is hardly any improvement in this sector which is one of the pivotal ones in terms of development of society.
He further mentioned grim power scenario in J&K and said that newspapers are full of news regarding protests by people over the grim scenario of electricity which is not even costly but people in rural areas are getting supply for hardly six to eight hours.
About Government hospitals, he said that the newly established government institutions lack facilities whereas the existing ones are dying a slow death and government set up seem least bothered about it with people are left with no other option than to move towards Delhi or Punjab in case of any minor complication.
Over the Van Mahotsav incident, Pathak said that it is a new low in Indian democracy, BJP is leaving no stone upturned in targeting. BJP and PM Modi used Delhi Police and resorted to removing posters of CM ArvindKejriwal which was earlier seen in Mohalla President elections.
“Everyone is aware that AAP Health Minister in Delhi Government Satyendra Jain made internationally accepted model of Mohalla Clinics and is in jail from last three months with BJPs administration has failed to produce a single charge sheet against him while now Manish Sisodia, the Education Minister in Delhi who gave a new model of schools, is on their target for no reason,” he said.
The opposition in the country is now AAP and this is the reason for which BJP is leaving no stone upturned in targeting AAP in whatever way possible.
Pathak further said that in Jammu and Kashmir also, PDP and Congress have shrunk as opposition while NC has been cornered by the BJP using ED and other agencies and now AAP is the only platform which is playing role of opposition in Jammu and Kashmir and is becoming voice of people.
MLA Rajendra Nagar and AAP Jammu and Kashmir Incharge along with other senior party leaders inaugurated the party office in Gandhi nagar Jammu terming it a landmark in the setup of AAP in Jammu and Kashmir, the statement said.
Interacting with the party workers, Durgesh Pathak said that the party is gaining massive support at grass root level and these efforts will be expedited further, added the statement.
Seventy five training sessions have been organised by AAP across Jammu and Kashmir in recent past in which twelve thousand, seven hundred and eighty workers have been trained and this training exercise is continuing further and soon panchayat level as well as booth level teams of AAP will be announced in order to strengthen party at base, the statement said.
